See I think this whole thing is really weird. I’m not trying to knock on the Hunger Games, but can we just play a quick game of “one of these things is not like the other”?
First, the most obvious: Everyone would like to be a Demigod, a Wizard, or a Time Lord in some sense. No on WANTS to be a tribute. Everyone wants magical powers, telepathy, the ability to regenerate, and a time machiene. No one WANTS to be forced into an arena where you have to kill other people for the enjoyment of viewers. (Or if you do, you’re sick).
Second: To be a Demigod, Wizard, or Time Lord you must be BORN that way. Demigod by virtue of one of your parents, Wizard by virtue of birth (though not necessarily parents) and Time Lord by species. Tributes on the other hand are made (usually forced) into tributes. No one is “born” a tribute.
Related to this is that being a Demigod, Wizard, or Time lord has a psychological effect on you, it makes you “super human”. Now in the case of Wizardy you are still human, but have a supernatural ability, Demigod are only half human, and Time Lord you’re not human. Tributes are still human beings.
This all gets really sad when you realize the combination of these things: The one of these four that we are all closest to being ourselves in real life is the only one that none of us actually WANT to be: The normal, human being who is forced into becoming a tribute. I’m willing to bet none of us on tumblr were born Time Lord (if you were what the heck are you doing online? Get up and have an adventure! Save the world!). A demigod or Wizard is “more likely” but I of course use that phrase in a tounge-in-cheek manner. And hopefully, none of us will become tributes.

Pottermore and GRYFFINDOR!
So this morning I FINALLY got my letter from Pottermore
But I had somewhere to be until noon and a paper I had to write. I did all of that and finally got back to the email. I got on an immediately found this:
so I went and had dinner and came back
And I greatly enjoyed the site and was very happy with my wand
but still really nervous about the hat. To tell the truth I had NO idea what house I would be in. I didn’t want to be in hufflepuff, but I think I could easily fit in any of the others. However I already have a Gryffindor scarf and tie, so I wanted that but tried to stay un-biased.
And then this happened!
OK SO MAYBE I’VE DESPERATELY WANTED TO BE IN GRYFFINDOR ALL ALONG, THANK YOU SORTING HAT FOR KNOWING AND GRANTING MY DREAM!
